I wanted to share a few of my favorite things – makes me feel like Oprah! Did I ever tell you I met her? Well, not really met…but I shook her hand and she looked at me and it was like…wow! She has so much energy you can feel it when she touches you! Look how adoringly she is looking at me – she so loves me…I am sure to get a Christmas card this year! (oh and thats Howard in the back…Howard Shultz, the top dog, big cheese Starbucks guy..cause that’s where I work…Corporate Starbucks and we all hang with Oprah all day….and drink coffee, lots and lots of coffee. It’s a living…).
So back to my 5 Favorite Things! I do not buy stuff just to have more and more stuff. I like stuff, just not clutter, so it’s a balance. These are just a ‘few of my favorite things’ (ya I know – Julie Andrews song…did I ever tell you I met Julie Andrews?…and no, not kidding…I have a picture but I am not going to post it…gloating is so rude. Oprah is enough for today).
1. Skechers Go Walk 2 Shoes
There are no words to describe these life changing shoes….and yes, I have them in every color and I am hoping they come out with an animal print soon! I love to get my grrrrr on! They have memory foam lining and they are like walking on a cloud!
This is where all the magic happens. Sitting on my ‘perch’ as my daughter calls it, and banging out some fine recipes for y’all. I love how this looks but even more, it is so functional. It puts you in the right posture and makes me sit up like a big girl! I can also survey my kingdom (the kitchen) while blogging.
We are talking hair care products here. Male or female. If you have thin flat hair – you need to give this stuff a try. The combination of the shampoo and texture spray will have your hair feeling like it’s 16 again! I use the #3 because I color my hair…I know, you thought I was a real blonde! But there are other varieties available for normal to dry hair They also make some additional conditioners but I found them to be way to heavy. I love me some big hair…there is no such thing as too much hairspray – words to live by my friends….
4.) KitchenAid Cream Maker Attachment
This must be the 4th or 5th ice cream maker I have bought and it will be my last! It is so easy to use and I keep it in the freezer so it’s ready to go anytime I get a craving for the good stuff…because you can not…I repeat can not buy ice cream that tastes like homemade!
5.) And finally, my most favorite, favorite thing – My bedroom! On my birthday my Mom took me to lunch and when I got home…my best friend Raela and my daughter Rachel had redecorated our bed room! Now who would do that for someone? I am one lucky girl and I can’t tell you the love I felt. Raela made the headboards herself, they bought all the bedding and threw in a few other things that turned my ho hum room into a comfy, cozy wonderful room that even Mr. Laughing Spatula loves! Only down side is I have to get up 15 minutes early to make the bed !
Before! Not horrible – but lacking a certain ooo la-la
After! Lotsa ooo la-la!
Thanks for letting me share my favorite things! My first non-food post…hey, maybe I am evolving…just maybe….
Take care friends!
