Ingredients
1lbground beef
1/2cuponion(finely chopped)
1/4tspItalian seasoning
1/2tspgranulated garlic
1/4tspsalt
1/4tspblack pepper
1cuporzo
1tbsptomato paste
3/4 cupchicken stock
1/2cuptomato sauce
18 oz canpetit diced tomatoes
3tbspheavy cream
1/4cupparmesan cheese
Instructions
To a skillet on medium heat, add 1 tbsp of olive oil. Add ground beef to pan, and sauté until beef develops brown crust.
Add chopped onion to beef, and continue to stir until onion is translucent. Add tomato paste, and seasonings. Stir until fully incorporated. Add orzo and sauté until orzo has a slight toast.
Reduce heat to low, add in chicken stock, tomato sauce, and tomato paste. Stir to combine. Add lid to pan and allow to lightly simmer until orzo is fully cooked and has absorbed most of the liquid.
Remove lid, add in heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Stir to combine. Allow to sit and absorb for 5 minutes. Serve & enjoy.
