Simple Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 1 lb dry spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 3/4 cup onion (finely chopped)
  • 4 garlic cloves (chopped)
  • 14 oz petite diced tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 14 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper

Instructions

  • In a pot on medium heat, add olive oil. Add ground beef, and sauté until lightly golden brown. Add onions, salt, pepper Italian seasoning, and garlic. Sauté until onion is translucent.
  • Reduce heat to low. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste and water. Simmer on low for 10 minutes.
  • While spaghetti sauce is simmering, cook pasta according to package instructions. When fully cooked, remove fro heat and strain pasta in a colander.
  • Combine pasta and spaghetti sauce, tossing until fully combined. Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with parmesan and enjoy!
