These super fast and fresh Greek Chicken Burgers are made with wholesome ingredients that are stuffed with all the Greek Flavors we love. Grill indoors or out, enjoy with buns or bunless. You can also use these burgers for meal prep, and make ahead lunches. So much flavor, and the best part? You can enjoy them warm off the grill, or cold in lunches.

Greek Burger Recipe
My favorite way to enjoy this Greek burger is as a protein patty with a Greek salad. We love our bunless burgers around here! So much protein, ground chicken has about 22 grams per serving. 1 1/2 lbs of ground chicken yields about 4-6 medium sized burgers, depending on the portion of each burger. You can make these into patty form, so they’re like little protein poppers!
Ingredients
To ground chicken, we add feta, oregano, spinach, fresh lemon and red peppers for a Greek spin.
We like the crunch of a fresh bell pepper, but you could use roasted red peppers if that is a flavor you like. Just be sure to dry them well before chopping, they can be rather liquidy.

Cooking Greek Ground Chicken Burgers
These burgers are delicious grilled, but you can also make them on a stove top. Since weather does not always permit outdoor cooking , I use this grill pan on the stove and love it! You can see it throughout all of our burger recipes. My favorite pan! It helps create those perfect grill marks.
- No matter the cooking method, ground chicken should be cooked to 165 degrees fahrenheit. Use an electronic cooking thermometer in the most middle center of the burger for the most accurate reading.
- Dress these up with cucumber, spinach and a bit of onion.
- I also love these served with lemon dill sauce. Goes great with the Mediterranean flavors. Super fresh, super yummy! Stuff them in a pita or plop on a hamburger bun. We like them plain but if you got room for buns…do it!

Serving & Storing Leftover Greek Chicken Burgers
Double this recipe and you have a healthy lunch all week long! Delicious when chopped up and tossed in a salad! Perfect meal prep.
If you have leftovers, simply store them in an airtight container. They will last in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

I notice red onions in the burgers pictured but don’t see them in the recipe. How much do you recommend? Or did you remove those from the recipe?
Kathi & Rachel says
Hi Angie – I just used them as a garnish. Just sprinkle a few on if you like onions!

I usually don’t take the time to rate or comment on recipes, but these are so delicious I just had to write something. I used fresh red pepper and added fresh dill (it is summer after all) and made a tzaziki sauce to top them off. They were devoured by my kids and husband. These will be a regular menu item in our house from now on. Thanks for the yummy recipe!

Loved these! These were fast and easy! I made them as sliders to accommodate the Hawaiian sweet rolls. We toped the burger with red onion, Boston bib lettuce, and a greek vignette. They were a hit! Would make again!
India says
These burgers were amazing! I made them tonight but used regular red peppers and added some chopped onions. I also substituted the spinach for dinosaur kale because that’s what I had in the fridge. So delicious!

These were fantastic! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for taking the time to send a note Michele! I’m a Happy Blogger!

Made these last night….AMAZINGGGGG! I used reduced fat feta cheese and had to substitute basil for oregano because I was out, but yum! I just a shake or two more of pepper to add more flavor and ate it bunless with sauteed onions and red peppers on top. Out of curiosity, can you tell me what the nutritional facts are per patter? I made 4 patties.
Kathi Kirk says
Oh I love notes like this! Thanks for taking the time to let me know!

Hi Kathi,
I made and barbecued the Greek chicken burgers this past summer and wow, the family really enjoyed them; they were delicious. Thank you so much for sharing the recipe. My question is this: do you think making them into meatballs, baked in the oven, would be an alternative? We have packed away our barbecue because of the cold weather.
Thanks for your response.

Kathi Kirk says
I think that is genius! It would make a great appetizer too 🙂
MaryS says
Just mixed this all together and it seems very wet? Should it be?
Kathi Kirk says
It depends on the meat you buy….mine is always too wet so I add bread crumbs which seems to do the trick! Add a bit more in if still wet. Hope that helps!
MaryS says
Great flavor!! Absolutely Delicious!!
Kathi Kirk says
I’m so glad you liked it! It’s one of my faves!
MaryS says
If I freeze the already cooked chicken burger, what do you think the best way to reheating would be?
Kathi Kirk says
I freeze these all the time and I just pop them in the microwave for a minute or two! They are great cut up on salads too!
The Wellness Soldier says
This looks delicious! We at The Wellness Soldier are suckers for a healthy yet savoury burger and we might have to try something like this out on our bestburgerrecipe
Maxine says
Where do you get your ground chicken? Have you tried the burgers with ground turkey?
Kathi Kirk says
Hi Maxine – I get my ground chicken at our local Safeway Store but Kroger carries it as well. It’s made by Iserio. I have made these with turkey but prefer the chicken. Ground turkey can be a bit bland. Thanks!
Anne|Craving Something Healthy says
These look totally delicious, and I’m pretty sure roasted red peppers are a thing in Greece. Good luck with the final wedding plans! Have an extra shot of Botox for me 🙂
Kathi Kirk says
That made me laugh! I really don’t get Botox, but I got nothing against it and there may come a day….sooner than later 🙂
Thanks for the note Anne!

Mallory says
These look great!! I made your chicken avocado burgers and a chicken/penne pasta dish yesterday from your site and they’re both amazing! I’m new to this…can you freeze any of this?? And if so how would you prepare it post freeze to eat?
Kathi Kirk says
Hi Mallory! I’m so glad you are enjoying my recipes! Yes, you can definitely freeze these. When I made them for my blog I made a double batch and 4 of them are tucked safely away in my freezer!
