Elevate your dinner game with Baked Chicken Thighs Bone-in!  Simply prepared with mustard and honey this easy to make chicken dinner is comforting and simple.  5 minute prep and in the oven it goes!

Bone-in Baked Chicken Thigh recipe

Are bone-in chicken thighs better than boneless chicken thighs?

  • we love them both equally but truth be told bone-in imparts more flavor.  The bone keeps it juicy during longer cooking times and who doesn’t like to pick up a juicy piece of chicken with thier hands!  Delicious hot or cold the next day.

Ingredients for our Baked Bone-in Chicken Thighs –

  • grainy mustard 0r Dijon
  • honey
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
  • paprika
  • salt

Pat dry the chicken leaving the skin on for a crispy crunchy chicken thigh!

Let’s start!

Combine the mustard, honey and spices.

How long to bake bone-in Chicken Thighs at 400 degrees –

  • About 35-40 minutes.  You’ll want to check with a meat thermometer.  The internal temp should be 165 degrees and the juices should run clear.

After roasting be sure to let the chicken rest 10 minutes before diving in!

Yes you could sub chicken breasts. They will cook faster if boneless, about 20 minutes.
