Oven Baked Sliders are the easiest burgers for an appetizer, main course, or after school snack! I love that you can use any meat (beef, ground chicken, ground turkey, etc). I’ve served these mini burgers at parties, play dates, football parties, and sometimes just on a weeknight when I want an easy but filling dinner. This recipe features only 3 steps to perfect oven baked sliders.
Cheeseburger Slider Recipe
I made this method up a few years ago. It’s so much easier than forming and flipping mini burgers! Line a 9×13 inch sheet pan with foil, spray it with nonstick, spread the ground meat over it, season it, and bake it. You’ll end up with a giant meat patty that fits a package of Hawaiian Rolls perfectly.
Oven Baked Slider Ingredients
- Ground Meat: I used beef, but I have also used chicken and turkey.
- Hawaiian Rolls: Easy to cut, easy to fit.
- Seasonings: Onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cheese: Shredded or sliced cheese will work. The more gooey the better!
Cooking Sliders in the Oven
Spread the ground meat on the foil lined sheet pan, season it, and then bake it at 375 degrees until it’s fully cooked. Per the FDA, ground meat is cooked once it reaches 160 degrees.
If you want extra meaty sliders, you can double the meat for a thicker patty.
Quick Easy Sliders with Cheese
- While the meat patty bakes, cut the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally so they’re still connected.
- Once the meat is fully cooked, top it with cheese, and allow for the cheese to melt.
- Then, carefully (using a large spatula) transfer the meat onto the rolls.
- Finally, cut them and serve! It’s that easy.
Tips for Perfect Baked Sliders
- These are great served right away, but you can refrigerate them if you have leftovers! Wrap them in a paper towel and microwave them for 30 minutes.
- If you’re using ground chicken or turkey, consider mixing the meat slightly beforehand. These are leaner with less fat, so adding in 1 tbsp of olive oil, plus the seasonings directly into the meat mixture can help add some flavor.
- Consider adding toppings! Lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, the works. Just keep in mind if you add toppings, they are best served right away.

Oven Baked Slider Burgers
Equipment
- 9x13 sheet pan
- foil
- Non Stick Spray
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (you can double the meat if you want a thicker patty)
- 1 12 pack Hawaiian Rolls
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit. Line a 9x13 inch sheet pan with foil, and spray with nonstick.
- Spread the ground beef directly onto the foil lined sheet pan, and spread it out to the edges of the pan. Note that the meat will shrink once it bakes.
- Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper onto the ground beef. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the meat is cooked throughout (160 degrees fahrenheit is fully cooked).
- While meat is baking, slice rolls horizontally, allowing them stay connected. Set aside.
- Remove from oven, and immediately add 1/2 cup shredded cheese on top of the meat. Place back in oven for 2 minutes and allow it to melt.
- Remove meat from oven. Allow to cool just enough for safe handling. Transfer meat to Hawaiian rolls. Slice and serve!
