Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Cutlets – Perfect for busy weeknights, meal prep, or a protein-packed addition to your favorite salad or sandwich. Ready in under 20 minutes, these cutlets are the perfect easy chicken dinner.

Your Air fryer will turn  your simple chicken breasts into the easiest and healthiest dinner that you will cook up over and over again!

Ingredients for Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Cutlets

  • Chicken Cutlets – either slice your own or buy them already prepared.
  • Panko Crumbs  – the secret for extra crispy chicken perfection.
  • Egg and Flour – for the dredge.  Dip in flour, egg and panko for that crust we love.
  • Olive Oil Spray – or non stick spray
  • Italian Seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper

Let’s get started –

If using whole chicken breasts, slice each one horizontally to create  two cutlets per chicken breast.

Set up the breading (dredge) station –

Plate #1 – all purpose flour

Plate #2 – two eggs, beaten

Plate #3 – combine Panko crumbs, Italian Seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper

How to bread chicken cutlets –

  • coat chicken in flour
  • dip in the egg
  • press into the Panko crumb mixture

The trick to extra crispy Air Fryer Chicken Cutlets –

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Lightly spray the basket and each chicken cutlet with olive oil.
  • Place cutlets in a single layer (work in batches if needed).

How long should you cook Chicken Cutlets in the Air Fryer

  • Total of about 12-14 minutes, flipping once half way through.
  • Tine will vary depending on the thickness of your cutlets.  Chicken is cooked perfectly when the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.

What to serve with chicken cutlets –

  • Oven Baked Rice – if you have not tried this method you are going to love it!  Bake the rice while you cook the chicken in the Air Fryer.  You’ll never go back to the stove top method.
  • Cous Cous Salad – we love this fresh and crunch salad as a perfect side dish.
  • Tomato Orzo – this simple one pan side dish comes together in minutes.
  • Simple Green Salad – you can never go wron with this recipe.  Clean out the refrigerator with this easy recipe.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breast cutlets
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1/2 cup panko crumbs
  • 2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Using 3 shallow plates. Add the flour to one plate, eggs to a second plate and Panko crumbs, Italian Seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper to a third.
  • Dip each cutlet as follows: First flour, then egg and finally Panko crumbs, pressing the cutlet in the crumbs to cover evenly.
  • Preheat your Air Fryer to 400 degrees. Spray the basket generously with olive oil. (non stick spray will work as well).
  • Working in batches place the coated chicken into the Air fryer. Spray each cutlet with olive oil. Cook for 12 minutes, flipping once half way through. Chicken is fully cooked when the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
  • Store any leftover in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and freeze for up to 3 months.
