Apple Fritter Bread!  – Chunks of apples in a cinnamon batter that is amazingly easy to make!  Topped with more apples and a delicate glaze reminiscent of those fried apple donut fritters we all love!

Apple Fritter bread

Let’s just talk about what your kitchen will smell like when this is baking.  That alone would sell me on this beatiful loaf cake!  Smells like Fall, leaves, cinnamon and sweet…all the things we love this time of year!

Ingredients to make Apple Fritter Bread

  • Apples – Granny Smiths hold up great in this bread but there really isn’t a bad apple in the bunch.  Use what you have.
  • butter
  • milk
  • flour
  • brown sugar
  • white sugar
  • cinnamon
  • baking powder
  • vanilla
  • confectioners sugar for glaze

Super simple ingredients that come together in a perfect way!

Let’s make Apple Fritter Bread!  (See the recipe card below for exact recipe details)

  • Start by peeling the apples and dicing into large chunks.  We wanna taste that apple!
  • In a small seperate bowl make your brown sugar topping, set aside.
  • Mix up the batter and toss in HALF the apple chunks.  Top with remaining apples and sprinkle on the brown sugar cinnamon.  Pretty easy so far!

In the oven it goes for about 50 minutes.  Get ready for a smell invasion!  There is nothing quite like the scent of an apple cake baking in the oven.  Imagine this apple loaf cake for breakfast with a steaming cup of coffee!

We drizzle on the icing using using a fork.  The tines of the fork make the perfect drizzle!

How to store Apple Fritter Bread

  • Wrap tightly and keep at room temperature for about 3 days then move to refrigerator for 2 more days.
  • If you have any left, this freezes beautifully in a freezer bag for up to 3 months.  Thaw at room temperature.
