We are saucy gals and love our condiments! This Easy Homemade Buffalo Sauce Recipe is ready in 5 minutes and is something we keep in our fridge all the time!
Ingredients to make Homemade Buffalo Sauce:
- Franks Hot Sauce – if you have another sauce you love, definitely use it, but we love our Franks!
- Butter
- white vinegar
- garlic powder and salt
- caynenne powder – if you want more heat
- honey – if you want more sweet!
How to make Easy Buffalo Sauce:
This is gonna go quick! You can even do this in the microwave.
- Melt butter in sauce pan
- Add hot sauce, vinegar, garlic powder and salt
- bring to a simmer
- cool and pour into container
- store in refriderator for up to 3 weeks
And thats it! Doesn’t get any easier!
We serve this hot sauce on just about anything! Our favorite is our Chicken Buffalo Meatballs. A few more favorites are Egg Bacon Skillet, our Big Mac Salad, Mexican Chicken Bake, and of course our Air Fryer Wings!
You can customize this delicious sauce to be hotter, sweeter, milder, smokier by adding cayenne, honey, smoked paprika. Increase the butter to hot sauce ratio to cool it down a bit.
How to make medium heat Buffalo Sauce:
- 6 ounces Franks Hot Sauce
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon vinager
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- pinch of salt
- You can also swap out the Franks Hot Sauce for Franks Mild Wing Sauce to reduce the heat
PRO TIP: Because the melted butter will solidify in the refridgerator you will need to heat this up in the microwave for about 30 seconds before you drizzle it on everything!

Homemade Buffalo Sauce
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup Franks Hot Sauce
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- pinch of salt
Instructions
- Melt butter in medium size sauce pan.
- Add hot sauce, vinegar, garlic powder and salt.
- Bring to simmer. Turn off heat and cool.
- Pour into Mason type jar or sealed container.
- Store in refridgerator for up to 3 weeks. NOTE: the butter will solidify in the fridge. Heat in microwave for 30 seconds to drizzle on everything!
