This easy to make recipe for Strawberry Vinaigrette uses strawberry jam for a sweet yet tart salad dressing! This recipe is so simple to make and it yields a restaurant quality strawberry salad dressing. Make it right in the jam jar for a little rustic chic, easily stored dressing.

Flavorful vinaigrettes are the key to a perfect salad! For a delicious strawberry flavor in this vinaigrette, I use strawberry jam. The flavor is more concentrated than using strawberries. I like to wait until the jar is almost emtpy and mix the dressing right in the jar. Efficient, and cute! You can use this method with any flavored jam; blueberry, raspberry, apricot, fig, really any flavor you like will work.

Strawberry Vinaigrette Ingredients

Salad dressing is a personal preference and if you want it a little different, you do you, chef! Sweeter? Add more jam, or even some honey. Tangier? Add more dijon or red wine vinegar. Spicy? Add chili flakes or chopped jalapenos. Herby? Add some fresh chopped basil. Just go slow, and modify in small amounts (you can always add to but you can’t take away!). Taste test until you get the flavor you’re after.

  • Strawberry Jam
    • If you want a sweeter dressing, add more.
  • Olive Oil
    • My favorite is always Trader Joes. Any type.
  • Red Wine Vinegar
    • You could also use apple cider vinegar.
  • Dijon Mustard
    • I like to use one with some grain to it for texture.
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Add the vinaigrette ingreidents straight to the jam jar, tighten the lid, and give it a good shake. I’ve used a latte frother before for a more emulsified texture but shaking  the dressing does the job just right, too.

How to Store Strawberry Vinaigrette

  • Place the dressing in an airtight container (like a mason jar or jam jar we used).
  • Label with the date so you don’t forget when you made it!
  • Keep it in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

That’s it! This easy strawberry dressing is so good on a spinach salad but it’s just as good on a simple butter lettuce salad too.
