This Strawberry Tiramisu has layers of fresh strawberries, Mascarpone, whipping cream and tender lady fingers that have been dipped in orange juice and Cointreau. Incredibly simple to make…I promise! Egg free!
My friend Ms. Betty (who is a fabulous home chef), brought this to a party recently and it was a show stopper! It’s like Strawberry Shortcake and Tiramisu had a baby….a really yummy baby!
No cooking involved, and Egg Free!
This no bake strawberry dessert is easier than you think and so impressive!
Ingredients to make Strawberry Tiramisu
- Lady Fingers – you will need two 8 ounce packages. (about 40 cookies total for two layes) We prefer the crispy kind rather than the soft bakery cookie. Soaks up more juice!
- Mascarpone cheese – you may substitute cream cheese if you prefer.
- Heavy Whipping Cream
- Confectioners sugar
- Strawberries
- Orange zest
- Orange Juice
- Cointreau Liquor – optional but recommended. Triple Sec is a good alternative as is 2 teaspoons of orange extract to make it more family friendly.
Let’s make Strawberry Tiramisu!
1.) Finely chop strawberries, add 1/3 cup of confectioners sugar and set aside to soften. About 15-20 minutes.
2.) Combine Mascarpone cheese and 1/3 cup confectioners sugar in a medium size bowl.
3.) Whip heavy whipping cream and 3 tablespoons confectioners sugar until stiff peaks form.
4.) Combine Mascarpone mixture and heaving whipping cream together.
5.) Combine orange juice, orange zest and Cointreau in a small shallow bowl.
6.) Dip each lady finger in orange juice mixture and line the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan with the dipped cookie. You will want to give a quick dip as the cookies get soaked and fall apart easily.
7.) Gently spread half of the Marcapone cheese mixture over dipped lady fingers. Top with half the chopped strawberries. Repeat layers: soaked cookies, filling and ending in strawberries.
And just like that you made Strawberry Tiramisu ! Told ya it was easy!
Refrigerate for a minimum 4 hours, overnight is best.
NOTES, TIPS and TRICKS:
- to keep this family friendly substitute 2 teaspoons orange extract for the Contitreau if desired.
- use crisp lady fingers opposed to bakery soft lady fingers if possible.
- substitute cream cheese for the Marscapone.
- substitute other fresh berries such as blueberrys or raspberries.
- store covered in the fridge for up to 5 days – freezing is not recommended.

This recipe sounds amazing!!
A question for you….fresh squeezed or store bought orange juice? If store bought, do you recommend a particular brand?
Thank you!
